The Tetris/Minecraft framing is sharp. But I notice that even the shift from Tetris to Minecraft is still framed as updating the leader's algorithm — as if the self is software that can be patched while the underlying operating system stays the same.

The one-in-four engagement figure is striking. But it's not a mystery. It's the predictable output of organisations that progressively domesticate the people inside them, including their leaders. The empathy, the authenticity, the purpose — these are real. But they're being imported into a structure that systematically trains them out.

You can't fix that with a better calendar audit. At some point the question becomes: how much of yourself did you trade to get here, and is any of it still retrievable?

That is absolutely true: legacy is about how you treat people and how you make them feel.
