Thanks Rita for viewing reality objectively. We humans tend to lean toward wishful thinking (as you say "nothing to see here") and then reality overtakes us. In addition to Amara’s Law “We tend to overestimate the effect of a technology in the short run and underestimate the effect in the long run”, I would add Kranzberg's law "Technology is neither good nor bad, nor is it neutral". The inflection point is coming, we need to prepare for it, and we need to consciously decide how we will use the advance, not only for ourselves or our organization, but also in what ways might it benefit humanity, in what ways might it harm humanity. I appreciate your wake up call to the reality that is coming and its pace of gradually gradually until suddenly the inflection point is here. I wonder in what ways we can get this wake up call to break through the current sludge of noise about AI and the present wishful sleepiness that builds an illusion of "everything is going to be okay".
